Breaking Point explores the metaphor "hanging by a thread" by re-inventing the imagery of the rope using both the colour and texture to reference the body's outer and inner surfaces: skin, muscle, tendons, and fibers. Glover's work aims to address physical, emotional and/or pyschological "breaking points" by illustrating painted rope that symbolically refers to body and flesh that decends from the top of the painting and is connected by one thread that suspends unraveled torn fibers at the lower sections of the tethered rope.
